2009 Predicted Points Finish: #22

Montoya has steadily improved since his switch from open wheel cars to stock cars. However, the overall performance of the Ganassi team makes it tough to tell if he has what he needs to be successful and make the Chase. Expect him to continue to contend on the road course races and at some of the intermediate speedways throughout the year. He was 2nd at Talladega, and had finishes of 4th and 6th on the road courses, but wasn't much of a contender anywhere else.
