Packers re-sign RB James Starks
Running back James Starks re-signed with the only team he's known during his four-year NFL career late Monday night. The Packers and Starks agreed to a two-year contract. Backing up Eddie Lacy in 2013, Starks averaged 5.5 yards per on 89 carries and scored a career-high four touchdowns. Financial terms of the deal are currently unknown.
Starks probably wasn't going to find a starting gig elsewhere, so he returns to being one of the better backup RBs in the league. He gets hurt a lot -- he's never played more than 13 games in any season -- but he's a decisive runner and a great complement to Lacy's bullish style. If you draft Lacy this year, don't forget to handcuff him with Starks.
