Cowboys WR Dez Bryant won't be forgotten by new OC

The basic numbers show that Dez Bryant @DezBryant had a very good 2013 season. But it could have been even greater if the Cowboys simply fed him more. Bryant, who racked up more than 1,200 yards and 13 touchdowns, finished four games this season with six or fewer targets. Owner Jerry Jones doesn't expect that kind of negligence to happen with new offensive coordinator and play-caller Scott Linehan. Why? Well, look at what Linehan has done the past five seasons with Calvin Johnson, how he has "maximized Johnson's skills."
For what it's worth, Johnson has just two games with six or fewer targets since the start of the 2012 season.

Fantasy Analysis:

Granted, Megatron would probably still be the best receiver in the league regardless of who was calling the plays. But Linehan is definitely a pass-first, pass-second offensive mind. The Lions set passing-attempt records over the past few years. Even in 2009 and 2010, when Matthew Stafford was sidelined for long stretches and the offense was led by the likes of Daunte Culpepper, Drew Stanton, and Shaun Hill, the Lions ranked in the top 10 in passing attempts.
That's dandy for Dez and Tony Romo. They could put up astronomical numbers next season. But where does that leave DeMarco Murray @DeMarcoMurray? We know how he reacts when he doesn't see the ball enough. I fear that storyline will be revisited more often, and that's just what the Cowboys need: more drama.

Grumbles about carries?!? Less touches would be a good thing maybe you'll stay in the line up for all 16 for a change. Although the boys got 14 out of him last year. I like his touches where they are at 225-275 otherwise I fear he'll breakdown. Contract year could give him a little extra drive though.
