Redskins willing to part with QB Kirk Cousins for a second round pick

According to the Washington Post, the Redskins would be willing to deal Cousins for a second round pick in this year's draft. Washington's first round pick belongs to St. Louis this season, so another second rounder for a non-starter would be a good deal for the 'Skins. Cousins has already indicated his willingness to go to a team willing to make him a starter.

Fantasy Analysis:

Once again the NFC East will be up for grabs, and although the Washington had a down year, with a couple of positional upgrades the Redskins could be right back in the hunt. Dealing Cousins would give them a much needed pick in this years draft.

Cousins had an up and down three game audition at the end of last season. Had he dismantled the terrible Cowboys defense or thrown fewer picks, we may have been talking first round trade bait today. Not every GM agrees that Cousins is franchise QB material, but with plenty of QB vacancies out there, expect someone to give Cousins a shot.

If Washington does get another second round pick, don't be surprised if they use it to find another receiving target to compliment Pierre Garcon and Jordan Reed.
