Lions WR Calvin Johnson will undergo knee surgery

It was reported Sunday morning that Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson @Bigplaycj would undergo knee surgery to remove some "loose bodies." We had to wait until after Detroit's Week 17 loss in Minnesota for the team to admit the truth.
"He's going to need some surgery," head coach Jim Schwartz said of Johnson after the game. "Nothing major. Not microfracture surgery or anything like that."
Schwartz went on to categorize the surgery as "minor."

Fantasy Analysis:

There have been whispers that Johnson has a torn PCL in his right knee and has been dealing with it since the start of October. He is also being bothered by a gimpy ankle, so the Lions made the right decision to sit him for today's meaningless game.
Johnson may need a handful of weeks to heal, but this shouldn't be an issue for next season when Johnson should still be considered the top wideout in fantasy and a likely first-round pick.
