Packers QB Aaron Rodgers takes first team reps in practice

ESPNWisconsin's Jason Wilde is reporting that Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers @AaronRodgers12 took first team reps during all QB drills on Thursday, including ball security drills and fundamentals drills, throwing to wide receivers vs. defensive backs. Wilde reports that Rodgers "looked sharp". Typically, the expected starter would take these snaps during practice.

While no official announcement has been made, this is an encouraging sign for the Packers as they gear up for their week 17 matchup vs. rival Chicago, with the division and a playoff berth on the line.

Fantasy Analysis:

Good news for everyone outside of Chicago. If you're in a league that plays a championship in week 17 and you have Rodgers, this could be the best gift Santa could bring. The Bears defense has given up the 4th most total yards per game (389.3) and the third most points per game (29.7) in the league on the year. While they're better vs. the pass than the run, the defense in general is nothing to be scared of.

If you own any part of the Packers passing game (WR Jordy Nelson @JordyRNelson, WR James Jones, WR Jarrett Boykin @BoyKinHeCatch, and possibly WR Randall Cobb @rcobb18), the prospect of getting Rodgers back helps you out!
