Jets QB Geno Smith has been told he will start in Week 14

Attention to those of you looking at the Raiders as a possible defense to stream in Week 14: Jets quarterback Geno Smith @GenoSmith_12 said Monday that he was informed by quarterbacks coach David Lee that he will start Sunday against Oakland. Smith was pulled at halftime in favor of Matt Simms during Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. Up to that point, Smith had completed 4 of 10 passes for 29 yards and an interception.
In his last four games, Smith has completed 29 of 74 passes for a total of 374 yards, zero passing touchdowns and six interceptions. He hasn't finished a game with double-digit completions since October.

Fantasy Analysis:

Smith has been the league's worst starting quarterback since Week 8. But Simms wasn't much better at all in the second half Sunday, and what's the point of sitting a healthy player, who you hope will become your franchise quarterback, for the final month of a season in favor of Simms? Or David Garrard. The Jets aren't going to make the playoffs; they need Smith to get as much playing time as he can down the stretch. And yes, that should mean better-than-average days ahead for the defenses in Oakland, Carolina, Cleveland, and Miami.
