Chargers WR Keenan Allen hyperextended knee

The early report from the San Diego Union-Tribune suggests San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen's injury is a hyperextended knee. In the second half Sunday, Allen was forced out of action and did not return. The 21-year-old finished the game with just three receptions for 45 yards. The injury is not believed to be connected to any previous injury. There is not believed to be any ligament damage. Backup WR Seyi Ajirotutu @satutu19 stepped in for Allen.

Fantasy Analysis:

Allen has been producing at a fantastic rate, especially for a rookie. He's ranked around a WR2 or WR3 and it would be a hit to every fantasy owner if his injury turns out to be something more serious. Allen should continue to be a strong flex play at the very least in every remaining game. If he is out, Ajirotutu is not an adequate replacement off the waiver wire. He has never provided even modest fantasy numbers at any point in his four-year career.
