Bears announce QB Jay Cutler as Week 10 starter

Jay Cutler is back. Knocked out in Week 7 with a groin injury that also kept him on the bench following the bye week, the Bears QB will start against the Lions in Week 10. "If he couldn't do everything, he wouldn't be out there. We would never put him out there if he was not cleared," Bears coach Marc Trestman announced on Thursday, according to the Chicago Tribune's Brad Briggs.

Fantasy Analysis:

This counts as a surprise since the orginal diagnosis had Cutler out up to four weeks. Before the injury, he had thrown for at least two touchdowns in five of six games. There is a bit of re-injury risk, but Cutler makes for a nice option for any Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady owners. Consider him no less-than a high-end QB2 this week, but a QB1 option going forward.
