Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart may be ready by Week 9

The Carolina Panthers want to provide running back Jonathan Stewart @Jonathanstewar1 ample time to recover from his placement on the physically unable to perform list. Ideally, they want Stew to practice for a full week and re-insert him onto the field in Week 9. The former Oregon Ducks back is still not a part of the 53-man roster.

Fantasy Analysis:

Dust off those old Stewart rookie cards, he's not done just yet. There have been reports concerning his status for sometime now and with each new story, his timeline has been further delayed. The winner here is obviously Stewart, but the bigger loser is of course DeAngelo Williams @DeAngeloRB. Not that Williams was having an incredible year, he just hasn't been as miserable as usual and had been producing like a decent RB2 thus far. Stewart being back in the mix will likely reduce Williams to a bench player.
