Titans QB Jake Locker cleared for contact, but likely out Week 7

The Tennessee Titans still have not yet officially ruled out quarterback Jake Locker for Week 7's game against the San Francisco 49ers. Locker was also cleared for contact this week and has two limited practices under his belt; however, the former Washington Huskies star is not likely to play. Since Tennessee is on a bye in Week 8, Locker's most likely return will come in Week 9 against the St. Louis Rams.

Fantasy Analysis:

Give it up for Locker. He wasn't a bonafide QB1 when he went down with an injury, but he was showing vast improvement. His completion percentage was noticeably higher and taking better care of the football. He led the Titans to a 3-1 start and have lost the two games without him under center. Given all the new guys getting their shot at quarterback right now, Locker fits in as a decent QB2 with some upside against the right matchup. He had been one of the few QBs who entered the season with an uncertain future, yet had answered the call to step up and perform this year before his injury. Backup Ryan Fitzpatrick has done nothing to show he deserves the job more than Locker.
