Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart is on track for a Week 7 return

Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart @Jonathanstewar1's odds of playing in Week 7 are looking good. Stewart, who is currently on the Physically Unable to Perform list, is not eligible to play prior to Week 7, but the Charlotte Observer's Joseph Person writes that Stewart is on track for that game, Oct. 20 against the Rams. Stewart underwent surgery on both ankles during the offseason, but his right ankle gave him so much trouble, Stewart couldn't participate in training camp.

Fantasy Analysis:

DeAngelo Williams @DeAngeloRB has been a very solid RB2 this season, rushing for 291 yards on 62 attempts. That yardage total is the third-most by a running back this year. But the 30-year-old is on pace for a career-high in carries, and I'm sure the Panthers would like to get Stewart on the field as soon as possible to take some of the load off. Despite Williams' success, this backfield should take on more of a committee look when Stewart comes back. I would advise Williams' owners to sell high while they can.

Is Stewart worth picking up for a bench spot? PPR league w/ flex spot. My current rotation of starting RBs consists of: Alfred Morris, DeAngelo Williams, Joique Bell & Stevan Ridley.
