Seahawks lose key offensive lineman to short-term injured reserve

The Seattle Seahawks are the NFL's hottest team after dismantling the San Francisco 49ers a week ago, but they'll have to move forward without a key offensive lineman. Left tackle Russell Okung has been placed on injured reserve, designated to return. He cannot return for another eight weeks.

Fantasy Analysis:

This is a big blow to a team that obviously loves to run the ball. Seattle faces the Denver Broncos in Week 3 and they already know a thing or two about losing a left tackle. Broncos LT Ryan Clady has been lost for the year with a Lisfranc sprain in his left foot. In the short-term, this shouldn't greatly affect any Seahawks' players value. This could have a negligible impact, mostly on Marshawn Lynch @MoneyLynch or it could lead to serious pass-protection issues as well. It's a wait-and-see situation for fantasy owners.
