Patriots WR Danny Amendola doesn't need surgery; TE Rob Gronkowski questionable at best for Week 3

Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola @DannyAmendola is expected to miss a few weeks because of his torn adductor muscles. And that's good news. According to the Boston Herald's Karen Guregian, Amendola doesn't need to add a sports hernia surgery to his to-do list, which would have probably forced him to miss six weeks. Instead, Guregian writes that Amendola's return is in the "framework of a few weeks."
Tight end Rob Gronkowski @RobGronkowski might have a chance to return this week, but he will be listed as either questionable or doubtful on the final injury report, depending on whom you read. ESPN's Ed Werder has been told that Gronkowski has a 50-50 shot of playing against the Buccaneers. Yet, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio hears that Gronkowski "remains closer to doubtful."

Fantasy Analysis:

There will definitely be more updates on Gronkowski later on in the week. At the moment, all we can really do is guess if he will play or not. I don't think Gronk will end up playing against Tampa Bay on Sunday, but that's just my opinion. Julian Edelman @Edelman11 will likely be Tom Brady's go-to guy for another game. He is a WR2 in 12-team PPR leagues.
