Falcons RB Steven Jackson won't play this week, could miss a few games

Falcons running back Steven Jackson @sj39 has already been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Dolphins, and there is a thought that he could miss as many as four weeks. Jackson has a thigh injury which head coach Mike Smith said is a "short-term" injury, but he also said, "I don't know if that's two or three weeks."
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has heard that Jackson could be out two to four weeks. For however long he is absent, Jason Snelling @JSNELZ44 and Jacquizz Rodgers @Qui22Rodgers will try to pick up the slack.

Fantasy Analysis:

In other words, it's all up to you, Matt Ryan @M_Ryan02. Rodgers and Snelling are both more accomplished as receivers than runners; Rodgers is averaging 1.6 yards per carry this year, and Snelling has more catches than carries since 2011. Rodgers will probably get more chances while Snelling, at 234 pounds, is the favorite to get any goal-line carries. But neither player should be in your starting lineup unless you are in a very deep PPR league. Atlanta's next four opponents are the Dolphins, Patriots, Jets, and Buccaneers. Those are some tough run defenses.
