Will Giants RB David Wilson start? Head coach Tom Coughlin says, 'We'll see'

Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is still not ready to commit to David Wilson @4stillRunning as his starting running back, at least publicly. When Coughlin was asked Wednesday if Wilson will start this weekend versus the Broncos, Coughlin simply responded, "We'll see." However, Coughlin also restated, "We need him."
Wilson lost two fumbles in the team's opening game. Dan Graziano of ESPN New York opined Wednesday that the Giants "are going to give Wilson an opportunity to prove that the fumbling was a one-game issue."

Fantasy Analysis:

If Wilson continues to lose the ball, he should lose considerable playing time. But after one bad week, do you really think the Giants are going to abandon their 2012 first-round pick for Da'Rel Scott @DaRelScott_RB? For Brandon Jacobs @gatorboyrb? Coughlin would be crazy to do that. Wilson should be right back out there on Sunday, taking the majority of the carries against Denver. Feel free to downgrade him because of his Week 1 performance, but he is still a very solid flex option at least.

Seeking your opinion. Wilson over Jordy Nelson in the Flex spot? My team has Reggie Bush and Ray Rice in the RB spots and Randall Cobb and Larry Fitzgerald in the WR spots. Thanks I'm torn between Wilson and Nelson.

I have Wilson also and listened to all the hype and he is explosive so I say go with him simply because they really don't have anyone else who can play at that level and its one week hell still be my flex with McCoy and murray as my two backs I took him in the second round of a ppr league that backs are gone in first couple rounds with not much left after that plus brown got hurt

David Wilson or Steven Jackson for week 2?

TO dlop2085, I would go with Jordy Nelson. With Wilson in the DogHouse in NY, yes, he may play, and yes he will get touches, but with Brandon Jaccobs and Scott there, I seriously, seriously DOUBT that Wilson will get ANY TOUCHES inside the 10 yardline at least not for THIS game anyway, life tells us "TRUST HAS TO BE EARNED" and right now, WILSON HAS LOST THE TRUST. While D.Scott who replaced Wilson last week didnt not lay the ball on the ground once I wouldnt be surprised if Scott and Wilson Split Carries with Jaccobs "VULTURING" come goalline carries- assuming he gets to play 'this week'.

How about J. Thomas as flex over Wilson?

David Wilson or Darren McFadden? Any advice here?

McFadden vs Jags over Wilson. Wilson lost all goal line work, unless Jacobs is useless. Which is a high possibility. He hasn't practiced with them and might not be in football shape. Scott will get a big load though. Wilson has to show something.

@ dlop2085 I'd personally go with Jordy, hes a beast

@ thomptod Jackson, but its tough. Only because I believe NYG will have to throw alot.

@ chrisbirano D. Scott didn't fumble, but he did let a pass bounce off his helmet and get picked for 6. He also got injured in today's practice. I don't consider either of those backs a threat to Wilson as much as Wilson is himself.

@ pablocruiser McFadden

To the S Jackson or D Wilson question.... there's no 'choice' to be made there, you play JAX.

Why would you want to play Wilson in week 2 ? If he fumbles on the first series you will be stuck with a goose egg , is that not enough reason to sit him ? You know just as well as I know that if he fumbles he will be put on the bench for the remainder of the game PERIOD . And if you still want to play Wilson then let me ask you this....How much will the Giants hand the ball off when they are playing from behind the entire game ?
