When setting your season expectations for Michael Vick , you have to insert some time missed due to injury. He has missed 13 games during his time as the Eagles' starter and at least three in each of those three years. But even if it puts his health at risk, Michael Vick is going to continue to do what Michael Vick does.
"I'm going to have the opportunity to do what I want to do in this offense and run the football. And yes, I will be a threat," Vick said Thursday via Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Vick was obviously going to run often in Chip Kelly's offense, but I love hearing about him not abandoning one of his special skills. Vick is not a pocket passer. He has always been more effective, more dangerous as a runner, and the Eagles shouldn't stop him from being that guy. Vick might very well get injured again this year, but I enjoy the fact that he won't change the type of player he is.
Except for all of the fumbles. That needs to change now.
