Dolphins TE Dustin Keller suffers potentially serious knee injury
And it was ugly.
Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller had to be carted off during the second quarter of Saturday's game against the Texans due to a knee injury. The injury took place when Keller was targeted on a two-yard pass by Ryan Tannehill . Texans rookie safety D.J. Swearinger tackled Keller low and drove his helmet through Keller's right knee, forcing it to bend inward while it was still planted on the ground.
The link below contains a clip of Keller's injury and a slow-motion replay. No official diagnosis has come to light, but it looks like he is going to miss a significant amount of time coming up. Keller is a TE2 in drafts, but he could have been an extremely valuable safety valve for Tannehill. Dion Sims, Charles Clay , and Michael Egnew are the tight ends behind Keller on the Dolphins' depth chart.
