And now, Browns RB Montario Hardesty needs knee surgery
This is not what a guy fighting for a roster spot wants to hear. After he dislocated a thumb on Monday, the Browns announced Wednesday that running back Montario Hardesty needs arthroscopic knee surgery. Head coach Rob Chudzinski said Hardesty is getting a scope performed on his knee "just to clean it up." He also said it's completely unrelated to the hamstring injury that Hardesty fought through earlier in training camp.
Hardesty's recovery timetable is unknown, but you should expect him to miss at least 2-3 weeks. One of the reasons why Hardesty will probably be cut before the regular season is he just keeps getting hurt. I mean, he has suffered three injuries to different body parts in just the past two weeks. He was Trent Richardson's backup last season, but Dion Lewis looks to be the favorite for that gig now.
