It's early, but 49ers WR Michael Crabtree's rehab is going well

That's what 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh insinuated Monday.
"Talking to the doctor, and talking to Michael, (I) feel very good about where he is right now," Harbaugh said via Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area. "(I) wouldn't categorize it as 'ahead of schedule' because he's just starting now to start moving on it. It's been just healing so far. But it looks great. That's the words of the doctors.
"We're optimistic there. Michael did a tremendous job, post-surgery. He stayed in town and did not leave and did not travel. He did everything he was being asked to do. They say it looks great."
Crabtree tore right Achilles tendon on May 21. The Niners are counting on young wideouts such as A.J. Jenkins, Ricardo Lockette, and Quinton Patton to step up in his absence. Harbaugh said Monday those players are "making a lot of progress."

Fantasy Analysis:

The expectation that Crabtree can play at some point late in the season remains. If everything goes well, he will be a guy you look to stash on your roster in late-October with the hopes of a November return.
