Jets WR Santonio Holmes says he doesn't have targeted return date

Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes @ToneTime10 is still trying to return to normal after multiple foot surgeries. He will begin training camp on the PUP list, and if you would like to take a guess as to when he will play in a game, go ahead. But even Holmes is not sure when that will be.
""I don't have a target date," Holmes said Saturday. "I'm just stating the facts that the season starts soon and I don't want to do anything to jeopardize myself for being ready for the season."
Holmes suffered a Grade 4 Lisfranc fracture last September. He suffered a muscle tear and joint separation in his left foot. ESPN New York's Rich Cimini observed that Holmes "seemed to be walking gingerly" as he talked with fans on Saturday. Holmes said his workouts have been limited to non-weight-bearing activities, and he has yet to run or cut on his foot at full speed.

Fantasy Analysis:

Obviously, this news is more depressing for the Jets than fantasy owners, who have a very deep crop of quality wide receivers to choose from. The Jets don't have that luxury. Their top two WRs right now are probably Stephen Hill and Jeremy Kerley. You shouldn't expect Holmes to be playing come Week 1, and he is worth a last-round gamble at most.
