Buccaneers K Connor Barth tears Achilles tendon; Lawrence Tynes signed

We have our first major injury of the preseason, and the preseason hasn't even started yet. The Buccaneers announced Wednesday that kicker Connor Barth @connorbarth will likely miss the entire season after he tore an Achilles tendon during a charity basketball game. Barth has been the Bucs' starting kicker for the past three years and was successful on 86.5 percent of his attempts during that time. The team has signed former Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes to replace Barth.

Fantasy Analysis:

Barth finished in the top 10 in fantasy points among kickers last season and scored at least 100 points in each of the past three seasons. Tynes finished second in the league in points and made 84.6 percent of his kicks last year, but the Giants decided they didn't want to pay Tynes, so they let him go and signed Josh Brown to take his place. Draft Tynes if you would like. He seems like a fine option and a nice guy. I don't know. He's a kicker. That position is incredibly fickle, so just pick one player who strikes your fancy in the very last round of your draft and move on.
How's that for analysis?
