Packers WR Randall Cobb working on being more than just a slot receiver

Wes Welker, Percy Harvin, Victor Cruz and others have proven you can be a game-changing wide receiver while playing in the slot. That's where Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb @rcobb18 was last year. But with Greg Jennings now gone, Cobb wants to be more than a guy who only plays inside the formation.
"I don't want to work on just being a slot receiver," Cobb said recently to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "I want to be a receiver, period. I want to be able to go outside, too. So, one thing I've worked on this offseason, too, is my outside routes and trying to put that into my game so I'm not just labeled a 'slot guy.'"

Fantasy Analysis:

Frankly, I don't care where Cobb lines up. He is going to be productive as long as he can get open. He caught 80 passes last year playing inside, and that number will go up this year. You like to hear about Cobb making himself better and becoming more comfortable with getting the ball at different spots on the field. But whether or not playing outside pans out for Cobb, he is a WR1 in fantasy. He's a big-play threat in a great offense headed by perhaps the best quarterback in the league. Even Aaron Rodgers thinks Cobb can catch 100 passes in 2013.
