Jets TE Kellen Winslow says his goal for this season is 100 receptions

In case you haven't noticed -- and if you are reading this, you almost certainly have -- this is a slim time for NFL news. That's how it goes between the end of OTAs and the start of training camps. It's the league's version of summer vacation. Things will pick up when camps open thanks to subjects such as injuries, signings, cuts, and players talking on the record about what they expect out of themselves this season. Jets tight end Kellen Winslow isn't waiting until camp; he told Brian Costello of the New York Post what he's aiming this year: 100 catches.

Fantasy Analysis:

I know what you're thinking: "Kellen Winslow Jr. is still playing? Didn't he retire two years ago?" Pretty much, yes, statistically speaking. Winslow caught one pass last year in one game with the Patriots. He has never caught 100 passes in a season; his single-season high is 89, way back in 2006. Winslow won't come near that number this year. He won't catch 80 passes. Or 50. Or probably even 30. Given the state of his knees, he'll be fortunate to make the final roster. He is working under a one-year contract that came with zero guaranteed money and without a signing bonus.
