Eagles RB Bryce Brown working on fumbling issues

Fantasy owners were able to overlook Bryce Brown's very evident flaws when he was running for more than 150 yards per game for a short while last season. They became much more frustrating when Brown's production dropped severely, but he told the Eagles' official website that he has been working on fixing one of those flaws: fumbling. Brown told the website earlier in the offseason that ball security "has been probably my number one priority besides being in shape."
Brown fumbled four times in 128 touches last season, including three fumbles in a two-week span while he was starting.

Fantasy Analysis:

That works out to one fumble for every 32 touches. However, as Bo Wulf of the Eagles' website points out, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Gale Sayers, Thurman Thomas and C.J. Spiller are some of the running backs who had higher fumble rates during their rookie seasons. Not bad company. Now if Brown can work just as hard on following his blocks, he'll go a long way to being even better in his second season.
Judging from head coach Chip Kelly's offenses at Oregon, we are all expecting the Eagles to run early and often this season. But it's difficult to gauge what to expect from anyone in Philly, because of the mystery surrounding what Kelly's NFL offense will look like. For our best guess on what lies ahead for Brown, LeSean McCoy @CutonDime25 and company, read Ben Standig's outlook for the 2013 Eagles.
