Vikings RB Adrian Peterson will be 'ready to roll' when training camp opens
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson said about three weeks ago that he felt "pretty much 100 percent" nearly four months after his February hernia surgery. Well, there is no doubt about it now. Peterson told Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com on Thursday that he is "Feeling good, feeling strong, feeling 100 percent. Ready to roll when training camp comes around."
Peterson was given some extra rest during organized team activities, which helped in his healing process. With Vikings minicamp now over, Peterson said he will head to Houston to "crank it up" and "really bust my tail" in preparation for the preseason.
There really isn't much of an update here; I just hadn't written anything about Adrian Peterson since May, and any Peterson news is worthwhile for fantasy football players. He is the No. 1 fantasy RB in drafts, without question.
