Packers continue to restock running game, draft RB Johnathan Franklin

So, if Eddie Lacy is the Packers' new lead running back, perhaps Johnathan Franklin @JFrank2308 represents the game-of-pace complement. Perhaps something more. The Packers drafted the UCLA product with the 125th pick overall on Saturday. He rushed for 1,734 yards on 282 carries last season with the Bruins.

Fantasy Analysis:

It's extremely good value for the Packers, selecting a second- or third-round talent in the fourth. Franklin has 4.5-40 speed and is very shifty. He's under 6 feet tall and just above 200 pounds, but he carries more power than those measureables might lead you to think. He does have an issue with fumbling too often, but he can be a very productive player in this league. He will probably start out as more of a third-down option behind Lacy, but it wouldn't surprise me if he gains more work as the season draws on. Franklin is a very exciting player to watch, and DuJuan Harris @Ol_sLy_Foxx' 2013 fantasy prospects continue to dim.
