Steelers to keep WR Emmanuel Sanders after matching Patriots' offer

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders @E_Sanders88 is still a Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver. Jordan Woy, Sanders' agent, tweeted Sunday that the team has matched the Patriots' one-year, $2.5 million offer to the 26-year-old wideout, meaning Sanders will spend his fourth season in Pittsburgh. If the Steelers hadn't matched Sanders' offer by midnight tonight, he would have become the Patriots' property.

Fantasy Analysis:

I guess all of that lobbying by Ben Roethlisberger to keep Sanders worked. It's a worthwhile match for the Steelers, who were looking at the possibility of at having a huge void at WR heading into the draft. They could definitely use more there, but a combination of Sanders and Antonio Brown looks a lot better than Brown and whoever else is currently on that roster. Sanders could be considered a fantasy sleeper right now, but he won't be by the time the season rolls around. He'll be a very popular get on draft day as he is slated to be a full-time starter this year.
The Patriots will now also look to the draft to help fill out their wide receivers. Right now, Donald Jones is slated to be their No. 2 guy out wide. That's not ideal, so look for them to choose from a deep group of receivers in a couple of weeks.
