Seahawks ink Brady Quinn to be their backup QB
Note to Russell Wilson : Don't get hurt.
The Seahawks signed quarterback Brady Quinn on Tuesday. CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora was the first to break the news. Quinn got into 10 games last year with the Chiefs after not playing in a game since he was with the Browns in 2009. He completed 56.9 percent of his passes and averaged 5.8 yards per throw last season. On top of that, he threw eight interceptions and two touchdowns.
Quinn will presumably slot in ahead of Josh Portis on Seattle's QB depth chart. He was apparently chosen over Matt Leinart, Seneca Wallace and Tyler Thigpen, all who also worked out for the Seahawks. That is quite an illustrious group. Quinn shouldn't exactly feel confident about being named the winner. If I had to bet, I'd say the Seahawks aren't done adding quarterbacks to their 2013 roster.
