Raiders HC Dennis Allen talks up WR Rod Steater

The Raiders' wide receivers are wide open but not exactly in a good way. Behind Denarius Moore, there is a lot of room for someone to step in and claim the second starting job out wide. Someone like Rod Streater @rodstreater80.
Streater caught 39 passes for 584 yards last season, and head coach Dennis Allen likes what he has in the 2012 undrafted rookie.
"I want to see him start where he left off, but I want to see continued improvement," Allen said about Streater via "I think the guy's got good talent. I think he's a good route-runner. I think he's got good ball skills. I think he'll go up and attack the ball. I think he's a tough kid. I think he believes in a lot of the things I'm looking for in a football player."

Fantasy Analysis:

Allen sure does think a lot. Streater is someone to consider late in your drafts, and he could turn into a WR3 guy in deeper leagues if everything breaks right. But you need to keep the Raiders' quarterback situation in mind. Oakland might cut Carson Palmer and put the offense in limbo. We really won't know how to judge these receivers properly until the team figures out what to do at that position.
