Lions sign RB Reggie Bush to 4-year deal

The first domino in a crowded crop of free agent running backs has fallen. Former Dolphins running back Reggie Bush @reggie_bush has agreed to a four-year contract with the Lions. According to Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official website, a press conference is set for later today.

Fantasy Analysis:

It's a great fit. Bush, one of the best receivers among RBs, joins forces with a team that has led the league in pass attempts the past two seasons and shows no signs of changing philosophy. So, those in point-per-reception leagues should pay special attention to this news; Bush could be a PPR monster this year. Yahoo's Jason Cole reported last night that the Lions would make Bush their "full-time" starter, moving Mikel Leshoure @MikelLeShoure25 into a reserve role. Not that Leshoure would be completely irrelevant, but he will probably fill the role that Daniel Thomas did last season in Miami. Joique Bell @JoiqueBell is hurt the most by this news, because catching is his greatest strength. Bush stayed relatively healthy in Miami, and now he is in a stronger offense, one that is fully committed to giving him the ball in multiple ways. In standard leagues, Bush looks like a high-end RB2 to start this season.
In Miami, this opens the door for Lamar Miller @millertime_6 to be the lead back that the franchise thinks he can be. Other than Bush, Miller's fantasy value gets the biggest bump up from this signing.
