This really tiptoes the line when it comes to actual news, but it concerns Calvin Johnson
and broken bones, so deal with it. Chris McCosky of the Detroit News tweeted this on Thursday: "Jim Schwartz would not confirm or deny that Calvin Johnson has 3 broken fingers on one hand. But apparently he does."
Fantasy Analysis:
Broken fingers in February, even for a wide receiver, shouldn't be a huge deal for an NFL'er. If Johnson had torn ligaments and needed surgery, then there would be a slight bit more worry, but not much. He just has so much time to heal. Johnson, apparently, played most of last season with two broken fingers, and those digits really hindered him as he put up only 1,892 yards, smashing the single-season record for receiving yardage. He'll be fine. He's a first-round pick, the first wideout off the board, and an all-time fantasy stud.
