The Giants have been perhaps the most active team in releasing players during this first week of the offseason. They have cut defensive players Michael Boley and Chris Canty. Offensive lineman David Diehl and Corey Webster could follow them out the door soon. But the most notable Giant who is now an ex-Giant is running back Ahmad Bradshaw. The team informed him of his release Wednesday. Bradshaw has spent all of his six NFL seasons with the Giants but has also become known for his repeated need for foot surgeries. He is currently recovering from another one on his right foot which was scheduled to replace and re-insert a screw that had been used to repair two previous fractures in his right foot.
Fantasy Analysis:
The move saves the Giants $2.75 million in cap space. There is a chance Bradshaw could re-sign, but that doesn't seem like a big possibility. So, David Wilson 
looks like he has the job of lead running back, and the Giants have been very upfront about their sense of comfort in giving him such a gig. The Giants are expected to bring back Andre Brown , who could be a goal-line vulture, but Wilson should be given plenty of touches per game next season. Right now, I would rank Wilson 17th among RBs, ahead of Darren Sproles, Reggie Bush, Mikel Leshoure, Steven Jackson, Ryan Mathews, etc. It would be close with Darren McFadden, but I could be easily persuaded to put Wilson ahead of him, Frank Gore and DeMarco Murray. In other words, I think Wilson is a cinch RB2 right now, maybe top 15. No, we don't have a very big sample size on him, but from what we've seen -- especially in Weeks 14-17 last season -- Wilson has the talent and the upside to meet expectations.
