Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew expects to be cleared as soon as late May

Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew @Jones_Drew32 told the Florida-Times Union that the mid-foot fracture he suffered back in Week 7 should be healed by late May or early June. Jones-Drew underwent surgery to fix the fracture on Dec. 28 and he thinks he will come back as strong as ever.
"I don't feel like this injury is going to slow me down," he told the Times-Union. "I just have to train. I want to get back and play."

Fantasy Analysis:

MJD did confirm that he had just a simple fracture and not the dreaded Lisfranc sprain, which is a slight bit of good news. He will turn 28 in March and I'm sure will avoided by a plenty of fantasy players in drafts because of his shortened 2012, the subsequent foot surgery, his heavy career workload and his place on a bad Jaguars team. But I will not be one of those people, especially if he drops into high-RB2 territory. Unlike last season, Jones-Drew will not hold out this year, meaning he should have a full training camp to prepare himself for the grind. He is still going to get plenty of touches and with Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon on the outside, defenses may not be able to key in on him as much. Of course, that will depend on what the Jags choose to do at quarterback.
