Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts
was placed on injured reserve Dec. 24 after suffering two concussions in the span of 22 days. Concussions are always unpredictable, and suffering multiple concussions in such a short amount of time can put a player's future in jeopardy. But Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union brought along good news Friday, stating in a live chat that Shorts has been cleared for football activities.
Fantasy Analysis:
For comparison's sake, teammate Laurent Robinson
still hasn't been cleared following multiple concussions. However, he suffered four such brain injuries between August and December. Shorts is coming off a breakout season and has shown himself to be a legitimate big-play player. He finished 23rd among WRs in standard leagues in fantasy points despite missing two games. Shorts should definitely be drafted in the WR2 range.
