Ravens RB Bernard Pierce is a game-time decision for Sunday
The only offensive skill player whose status is truly in question for conference championship Sunday is Ravens running back Bernard Pierce . He has been dealing with a bone bruise on his right knee, an injury he aggravated during last Sunday's win over the Broncos. Pierce didn't practice on Thursday but he returned in a limited capacity Friday. He is officially listed as questionable and has already guaranteed that he will play versus the Patriots.
And he most likely will. The injury kept Pierce to just five carries in a 77-minute game last week. If he's healthy, he should handle closer to 8-10 touches. Pierce has shown impressive skill in his rookie campaign, but he's nothing more than a backup with 25-year-old Ray Rice in front of him and showing no major signs of slowing down.
