Cowboys 'hope' WR Dez Bryant is ready for training camp after finger surgery

Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant @DezBryant underwent surgery on his broken left index finger on Tuesday. Bryant fractured the digit in Week 14 versus the Bengals and mounds of fretting about how much the finger would affect him immediately followed. Bryant finished the season with the fracture and responded by putting up the best fantasy line of his season -- 224 yards and two touchdowns -- against the Saints in Week 16.
According to the team's official web site, "[T]he Cowboys won't rush Bryant back this summer, but the hope is he will be 100 percent ready for training camp in Oxnard, Calif. in late July, if not sooner for a possible June mini-camp."

Fantasy Analysis:

Prior to the season, I said Dez Bryant was the player I was targeting most in drafts. Then, as he put together an up-and-down first two months, I got off the bandwagon, only to jump back on a few weeks later. I'll make sure to wear my seatbelt on the Bryant bandwagon next season -- he should be just fine for training camp, and I am enamored more than ever. Although, I know his preseason price will be higher in 2013 than it was in 2012.
