Who wouldn't love to have an improving offensive line and running back Jamaal Charles
at his disposal? That must have been part of the logic behind Andy Reid's interest in joining the Kansas City Chiefs with a five-year deal. No other assistant coaching decisions have been made at this time. The Chiefs are also without a general manager after parting ways with Scott Pioli. This move could also sway Dwayne Bowe to stick around since he was looking for a way out.
Fantasy Analysis:
Reid has a nice foundation to build upon on offense. The big question mark is at quarterback. Matt Cassel struggled and could not stay healthy. Brady Quinn
is a viable backup, but nothing more. Ricky Stanzi isn't likely to stick as a third-stringer unless Reid really likes him. So who's next? Kansas City has not drafted a quarterback in the first round since 1983, which was a great year for quarterbacks, not including the Chiefs' pick, Todd Blackledge. It's the beginning of a new era.
