Vernon Davis
was able to practice on Thursday and Friday, but he did so wearing a black jersey, which signifies no contact. Following his Week 16 concussion, the 49ers' tight end has been cleared by an independent neurologist, but he still hasn't been allowed to take any contact. That clearance could come before Sunday's game against the Cardinals, but according to Ron Kroichick of the San Francisco Chronicle, Davis isn't likely to play. When asked by the media Friday how confident he is that he will play, Davis only said, "A little bit."
Fantasy Analysis:
Even if Davis is active Sunday afternoon, you shouldn't care. He shouldn't be in your lineup any longer. Davis has five catches in the past four games for a grand total of 56 yards and no touchdowns. Delanie Walker
, who has scored in back-to-back contests, would see a bigger role if Davis is out. However, he is just a mid-range TE2. The Cardinals are slightly above average when it comes to defending TEs.
