Big news from ESPN's Adam Schefter via Twitter:
"At team meeting minutes ago, Redskins players were informed Kirk Cousins
will start at Cleveland, according to text from person in room," Schefter tweeted.
Cousins will fill in for Robert Griffin III
, who sprained the LCL in his right knee in Week 14.
Fantasy Analysis:
Just as I published a note about a doctor deciding Griffin's status for this game, it appears that has already happened. The tweet doesn't say Grffin has been ruled out, but you need to put him on your bench now. If you own Cousins, it is doubtful that you would start him in your fantasy playoffs unless you are completely out of options in a two-quarterback league. With him under center, you should issue a downgrade to Pierre Garcon
and all Redskins receivers while also assuming that running back Alfred Morris
will take on as much work as he can possibly handle against the Browns.
For those of you who have Griffin as your starting quarterback without a decent backup, just hope that the rest of your team picks it up and carries you through to the next round.
