The Jets are thin in quality and quantity at wide receiver. How thin? They picked up Braylon Edwards off waivers on Tuesday. Edwards, 29, spent two underwhelming seasons with the Jets from 2009-2010 and has been playing on the West Coast with the 49ers and Seahawks since. This season in Seattle, Edwards caught eight passes in 10 games for 74 yards and one touchdown. But due to recent injuries to Stephen Hill, Clyde Gates and tight end Dustin Keller, the Jets needed to make an add.
Fantasy Analysis:
Just what this team needs: Another guy who is more personality than player. Edwards has absolutely zero fantasy value as he will likely begin his second stint in New York playing behind luminaries such as Jeremy Kerley
and Chaz Schilens. But maybe he'll give us a nice sound bite or two to make things interesting.
