Running back Donald Brown hadn't been giving much to the Colts' offense over the past month, and now he won't be giving them anything for the rest of the year. The team put Brown on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday after Brown suffered a sprained ankle in Week 13. Brown had been operating as the Colts' secondary back behind Vick Ballard for a long while. From Week 10 through Week 13, Brown had gained 98 yards on 34 carries and caught five passes for 39 yards.
Fantasy Analysis:
Since Brown is now gone, and Delone Carter
looked to suffer a sprained ankle this past Sunday, the Colts have signed Mewelde Moore and Deji Karim for running back depth. But this is clearly Ballard's backfield, and he's an OK flex play this weekend, even against a Texans defense that is stuanch against the run. Ballard should get 15-20 touches to make him worth a spot in your lineup.
