It's only Tuesday, and we're probably no fewer than two days away from knowing if Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III
will play this weekend against the Browns. But any news on the biggest injury story of the week is still news, and today's provider is Griffin's own father, who told USA Today that his son is doing well and plans on starting Sunday.
"He's doing great," Robert Griffin II said. "He definitely said he plans to start. I haven't seen him (the last two days). But he told me (today) everything has gone well... . Monday he said he felt really good. Today he felt better. Every day he's getting better. Monday he had no problems and throughout the workout, he had no problems."
Fantasy Analysis:
Robert Griffin II also said he hopes his son lets Alfred Morris take care of all of the running duties. However, if RG3 can't run well, that takes away a huge part of his game and the Redskins' offense. I still think Griffin is going to play in a critical game for the Redskins. FFToolbox podcast host Ben Standig, who lives in the D.C. area and knows Redskins reporters very well, said on tonight's podcast he doesn't think Griffin will play, and he's heard similar sentiments from scribes who cover the team. But again, stay tuned. And go pick up Kirk Cousins
if you are desperate for insurance.
