Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant
was able to continue on after fracturing his left index finger during Sunday's win over the Bengals. He even caught a touchdown with the damaged digit. But playing this weekend against the Steelers might be a different story. The fracture was confirmed Monday when Bryant met with a hand specialist, and Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas tweets that Bryant's long-term status is "undetermined."
Fantasy Analysis:
This story has gotten more positive for Bryant and his fantasy owners throughout the day. At first, we heard that Bryant had torn ligaments and was probably going to miss the rest of the season. But his ligaments are intact, and he might be able to play in Week 15, The Cowboys are still deciding what to do with Bryant -- let him play through the injury and hold off on surgery until the offseason or go get the finger fixed now to avoid further injury. A decision should come within the next day or two. Bryant is a must-start if he's given the green light. The Steelers got beaten up by Danario Alexander this past weekend, and Bryant fits that mold of a tall, big, fast wideout who can give that defense fits all day.
