Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson
did not participate in Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury. Nelson is currently listed as questionable. Head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters earlier in the week that the injury was "not of a serious nature" but that Nelson would be "hard pressed" to play against the Detroit Lions in Week 14. In all likelihood, Nelson will be a game-time decision.
Fantasy Analysis:
Nelson was forced to exit during the first quarter of the Packers' Week 13 game and fantasy owners should avoid him Sunday. Given the numerous weapons that the Packers have at their disposal, even a healthy Nelson has to compete for production. In his last game against Detroit in Week 11, he only caught three passes for 45 yards. That's hardly the type of performance you would want during the opening round of the fantasy postseason.
