ESPN's Bob Holtzman reported a source close to the Pittsburgh Steelers told him that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has "less than a 50-percent chance" to play in Week 13. Roethlisberger has a dislocated rib and is currently not able to throw the football very well or without significant pain. He also has a sprained shoulder and both injuries have been described as having a "very high risk of reinjury." The Steelers travel to Baltimore in Week 13. The Ravens narrowly beat Pittsburgh two weeks ago, 13-10.
Fantasy Analysis:
It is clear that without Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers are in trouble. The 37-year-old Charlie Batch
played miserably last week against the Cleveland Browns. He threw three picks and that's not including the eight fumbles (five lost) that the Browns forced. Pittsburgh is clinging to the sixth and final playoff seed in the AFC with Cincinnati and Miami right behind them. Fantasy owners should avoid Roethlisberger until he plays and proves he is ready. It also does not help matters that Antonio Brown
has been injured and Mike Wallace
has slipped on the depth chart.
