ESPN Dallas' Ed Werder is reporting a source told him that Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin
is expected to play in Week 13 against the Phildelphia Eagles. Austin is currently hurt with hip and backinjuries and had a MRI done last week to check on his strained hip. The seventh-year wideout was injured early last week against the Washington Redskins and did not return. Austin has played through nagging injuries throughout the season, having not missed a game.
Fantasy Analysis:
If Dallas wants to at least stay in the coversation, although it is very unlikely, they must continue to win. Losing to a Philadelphia team that has not won a game since September is not an option. For fantasy owners, Austin is a risky start even though he is technically ranked as a solid WR2 in most fantasy formats. He has not scored a touchdown since Week 7 and has not eclipsed 100 receiving yards since Week 8. Coming off these injuries, he is obviously trending downward right now.
