The good news for Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings
is that his surgically repaired groin muscle has been strong enough for him to put in three limited practices this week. The bad news is that he'll probably need to sit out one more game before taking to the field as the rest of his body still needs to catch back up to the activity of live football.
"It's really going to be a medical, conditioning (decision), those types -- we'll have to talk it through," head coach Mike McCarthy said Friday of Jennings' chances of facing the Giants. "The biggest thing was to get him on course to make progress, and right now he's taken every step. That's very encouraging."
Jennings hasn't played since Week 4 due to his groin injury.
Fantasy Analysis:
Jennings said earlier this week that he is not in pain, but his "wind is horrible right now." He needs more time to get back into NFL shape, but it sounds like he will have a good shot of playing next week after participating in three practices this week. Keep Jennings on your bench and hope for contributions during your fantasy playoffs.
