New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow
has two broken ribs and did not play Thursday night. The third-year backup did manage to practice fully throughout the week, but head coach Rex Ryan said that Tebow's ribs were becoming worse. Tebow skipped his usual punt protector responsibilities and is expected to be ready in two or three weeks. Ryan also told reporters that he is going to stick with Mark Sanchez
at quarterback because "he gives us the best chance to win."
Fantasy Analysis:
Tebow's fantasy impact has been far less than most expected heading into the season. The Jets were blown out on Thanksgiving by 40 points and it says a lot that they still plan on using Sanchez over Tebow. Their offense is atrocious and the defense is not what it used to be. Fantasy owners should try to avoid any and all Jets players. Dustin Keller
is playing well recently and Shonn Greene is a decent flex or depth option. Beyond that, it is slim pickings.
