With Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young
benched by the coaching staff, WR Mike Thomas
will start alongside WR Calvin Johnson
. The former Jacksonville Jaguar receiver has yet to tally a target or reception in his few weeks in Detroit, although he did have one carry for six yards against Green Bay last week. Rookie receiver Ryan Broyles
will remain in the slot, so his role remains the same.
Fantasy Analysis:
In an offense that can at times be explosive, this could be a gold mine on the waiver wire. Young exploded with nine receptions for 100 yards and two scores last month once Nate Burleson
went down. Broyles has more upside, but carries more risk. Thomas has yet to prove anything in this offense and may not have developed the chemistry necessary with QB Matthew Stafford
. Keep an eye on this situation because Young may have worn out his welcome in Detroit.
